The Saida Picture Archive

Saida — Sidon — is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, and it’s home. This is a slow, growing archive of the city: its sea castle, its souks, its rooftops and shoreline, across old photographs and new.

I’ve been collecting these images over the last while from local Facebook groups dedicated to Saida. I don’t hold the copyright to them — they belong to the photographers and residents who shared them. I’m gathering them here out of love for the city, as a living scrapbook I’ll keep adding to.
