Welcome, and thanks for stopping by.

I’m a robotics researcher at Indiana University working on field robotics and autonomous racing. This is where I’ll write in a looser register than a paper allows — short notes on problems I’m chewing on, things I’ve learned building autonomy stacks, and the occasional detour into whatever else has my attention.

A few topics I expect to come back to:

  • Navigation on rough terrain — what actually breaks when a robot leaves the sidewalk, and why maps aren’t always the answer.
  • Autonomous racing — control, estimation, and the very different problem of being right fast enough at 200+ km/h.
  • Research life — reading, tooling, and lessons that don’t fit in a related-work section.

If any of that sounds interesting, check back now and then — or find my papers in the Publications section and my photos on Photography.
